The 90th Annual Academy Awards are upon us, and we’re hosting the first annual Film Loop Office Oscar Pool! That’s right, we’re challenging you, our listeners, to make predictions for winners in each category of the 2018 Oscar awards and compete for the top prize, including the chance to pick a film that we will review in our penultimate episode this season!


Contest begins January 23, 2018

Contest ends February 26th, 2018, 11:59 EST



1st place will receive a signed Film Loop: Season 1 poster (poster will be revealed and made available for purchase at the end of the year), an Official Film Loop T-Shirt, and a movie pick for the Season 1 Penultimate Episode!


Fine Print

  1. The promoter is: Film Loop
  2. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  3. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  4. Multiple entries will be accepted per person. Only the best scoring entry will be counted toward the competition.
  5. Closing date for entry will be 11:59 EST, Monday, Feb 26th, 2018. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  6. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  7. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

    2. Fill out your predictions for winner of each category
    3. Each category equals one (1) point
    4. Participants will receive one (1) point for every correct prediction
    5. Don’t forget to include your First Name, Last Name, and Email Address
  8. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  9. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  10. The prize is as follows: 1st place will receive a signed Film Loop: Season 1 poster (poster will be revealed and sent to winner no later than August 2018), an official Film Loop t-shirt, and a movie pick for the Season 1 Penultimate Episode!
  11. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  12. One winner will be chosen by virtue of highest score.
    1. In the event of a tiebreaker:
      1. Tiebreaker questions are generated by Film Loop, and may span any topic related to the Academy Awards.
      2. Film Loop retains the right to choose/change tiebreaker questions at their discretion.
      3. All eligible participants will be sent a question via email and/or DM on Twitter.
      4. Participants will have 12 hours to respond with an answer. At the end of that time frame, the correct answer will win.
      5. In the event of a second tie, the process mentioned above will start over again until a single winner can be declared.
  13. The winner will be notified by email and/or DM on Twitter within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  14. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.
  15. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
